His real name was Avas Kumar Ganguly. He was born on 4 August 1929 in a Bengali family in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. Kishore Kumar’s father Kunjalal Ganguly was a lawyer by profession. Early career:
His first film ‘Shikari’ was released in 1946. Although he started working in the acting world, he did not particularly focus on acting. Even after that, he worked in some films, but in 1948, he started his journey in the music world with the film ‘Ziddi’. After that, he gradually progressed in his career as a singer, lyricist, and music director.
