Astronaut Sunita Williams and her partner Butch Wilmore are returning to Earth after exactly nine months. According to information received from NASA, they landed on the coast of Florida at 5:57 pm yesterday.

But the question remains, why is it so late to return Sunita?
In 2003, the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated in mid-air while returning to Earth. Seven astronauts including Kalpana Chawla died. Since then, NASA has become more cautious. To return them, the spacecraft Dragon arrived with four astronauts aboard Elon Musk’s Falcon 9 rocket.

At 9:34 am IST on March 16, Dragon docked with the International Space Station. After that it took another hour and 40 minutes to open the doors of ISS. One by one, Dragon’s four astronauts entered the station.
